Blockchain Protocol Engineer
Join Quai Network and be part of our ambitious mission to redefine the landscape of global commerce. We are at the forefront of building an adaptive, Proof-of-Work network of blockchains, designed to ensure fast, secure, and cost-efficient participation in the world economy. Our innovative approach combines the power of merged mining and sharding technologies, thus scaling blockchain technology like never before
As a part of our rapidly expanding team, you will contribute to developing a groundbreaking blockchain protocol that's set to become the new lifeblood of the digital economy.
At Quai Network, our core values are openness, decentralization, and security. We champion the ethos of blockchain – minimal central authority and equitable opportunities for all, transcending geopolitical and socioeconomic divides. As we embed these values into every facet of our operations, we're confident that Quai Network will provide an unparalleled platform for the future of human commerce.
Join us and thrive in the dynamic, self-driven environment that arises from working with cutting-edge Web3 technology.
We are searching for experienced blockchain protocol engineers that have an understanding of the current limitations facing blockchain scalability in regards to speed, security, and decentralization. Quai is working to break the FLP impossibility theorem and enable distributed consensus which is only limited by the physical infrastructure of the internet.
We expect our candidates to work independently, devise solutions for intricate architecture, and comfortably handle high-pressure situations, all while aligning with the organization's priorities.
To be an ideal fit for our team, you'll bring along a robust understanding of Golang. Experience working with L1 clients like Geth, Decred, or Storj will set you apart. Your deep comprehension of cryptographic primitives and hashes will be invaluable to us, and your familiarity with open-source workflows will be a major asset. A history of significant contributions to open-source projects will be a clear testament to your proactive and collaborative work style.
Specific requirements include:
- Proficiency in Golang.
- Proven experience working with L1 clients such as Geth, Decred, or Storj.
- Understanding of cryptographic principles, including ECC and hash funtions.
- Strong understanding of statistics and combinatorial mathematics.
- Familiarity with open-source workflows.
- A track record of substantial contributions to open-source projects.
Our ideal candidate is an industry veteran with a graduate degree in a relevant field such as Electrical Engineering (EE), Computer Engineering (ECE), or Theoretical Physics. Your academic accomplishments should align with the technical rigor of our work.
Beyond your degree, we highly value candidates who have made significant contributions to the field of distributed computing, information science, and consensus mechanisms. This could be demonstrated by authorship of novel peer-reviewed papers, or other significant and verifiable contributions to these fields.
The desired skills include:
- A graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Theoretical Physics, or a similar discipline.
- Advanced theoretical and practical understanding of blockchain technology beyond basic Solidity and smart contracts.
- Authorship of novel peer-reviewed papers in the fields of distributed computing, information science, and consensus mechanisms.
- A dynamic problem-solving approach backed by strong theoretical knowledge.
Please note that while experience in Solidity and smart contracts is valuable, candidates whose blockchain experience is limited to these areas may not align with our current requirements. We're looking for team members ready to work on innovative solutions and complex problems in the blockchain space.
Position may include equity, and token warrents. Step into a world of innovation and explore the exciting opportunities at Quai Network.
