The Web3 Foundation nurtures and stewards technologies and applications for the decentralized web. We collaborate with cutting-edge developer teams, researchers, and community leaders to strengthen and extend the uses of decentralized technologies; building the future of identity, privacy, financial markets, commerce, and more.

Our core project is Polkadot, a protocol designed to connect blockchains and allow them to interoperate, share security, and more. In addition, we are supporting the development of several technologies that form the Web 3.0 tech stack, such as proof of personhood, decentralized messaging, distributed storage, and secret management.

Investor Relations Manager

The core of fulfilling our mission is ensuring that the Web3 technology stack is well-understood and strategically supported by those who believe in its transformative potential. By cultivating strong relationships with investors and stakeholders, we create a solid foundation for projects and individuals with great ideas to thrive on our platform. Even the best protocols can only achieve their potential when backed by informed, engaged investors who understand their value and impact.

As an Investor Relations Lead, you will bridge the gap between our groundbreaking technology and the investors who enable its growth. Your work will be critical in communicating our vision, fostering trust, and driving strategic partnerships to build the future of the decentralized web.

We are a lean team with a flat organization. You will collaborate closely with team members in Zug and remote locations, as well as with a diverse array of investors and service providers.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and investor sentiment.
• Provide insights and feedback to the executive team to inform strategic decisions.
• Build and nurture long-term relationships with investors to foster trust and confidence in the ecosystem and technology.
• Address investor inquiries promptly and accurately, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
• Identify opportunities to enhance investor engagement and support fundraising efforts for ecosystem teams.
• Plan and coordinate investor events, conferences, and demo days.
• Represent the company at industry events to build and strengthen investor relationships.
• Organise and conduct investor meetings, webinars, and conference calls.
• Collaborate with the cross-functional teams to support ecosystem projects seeking funding.
• Own data management of investors and other related stakeholders.
• Managing the process of quarterly investor letters.
• Identify and engage the most innovative and impactful teams building within the Polkadot ecosystem.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in investor relations, venture capital, or a related role in the Web3, blockchain, or technology sector.
• Exceptional ability to present complex technical concepts clearly and compellingly to investors and stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal skills for building and nurturing long-term relationships with investors and ecosystem teams.
• Proficiency in market research and interpreting data to provide actionable insights.
• Ability to anticipate trends and proactively engage with high-potential teams and investors.
• Willingness to travel and represent the organization at industry events and conferences.
• Passionate about working within the Web3 movement / decentralized technology space and open source, privacy-minded communities
• Familiarity with Web3 development tools and concepts to engage credibly with developers and ecosystem teams.
• Knowledge of financial markets, fundraising processes, and investment strategies.
• Native-level written and spoken English.

A Plus:

• Proven experience in investor relations, venture capital, or a related role in the Web3, blockchain, or technology sector.
• Strong understanding of the Web3 ecosystem, Polkadot technology, and blockchain industry trends.
• Experience identifying high-potential projects and assessing their viability and alignment with strategic goals.
