The PL Filecoin Impact Fund (PLFIF) is at the forefront of driving growth and innovation in the Filecoin ecosystem. We fund public goods projects to benefit the Filecoin ecosystem and devise incentive mechanisms and programs to grow the ecosystem to meet key network targets. We're seeking a dynamic Strategy & Operations Lead to join our team and play a crucial role in shaping the future of decentralized storage and Web3 technologies. At PLFIF, you’ll work alongside senior members of the Filecoin & Protocol Labs community including Juan Benet, Molly Mackinlay, Colin Evran, and more!

The Role

As the Strategy & Operations Lead, you'll be the driving force behind PLFIF's strategic initiatives, operational excellence, and ecosystem building. From pioneering new community funding strategies that harness the latest public goods funding tools, to diving deep on ecosystem metrics and strategic growth levers - this role will benefit from your strong strategic and execution skills. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the Filecoin network's growth, the future of decentralized storage, and the broader Web3 landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Ecosystem Funding: Design and launch cutting-edge ecosystem funding programs from 0 to 1, setting clear KPIs and success metrics.
• Strategic Market Analysis: Dive into market opportunities and use cases to identify high-impact areas for capital deployment.
• Maximize Fund Impact: Develop and implement strategies to amplify PLFIF's influence on the Filecoin ecosystem's growth.
• Optimize PGF Systems: Build and fine-tune systems for efficient grant deployment and evaluation.
• Insights & Recommendations: Synthesize complex information to provide strategic insights and actionable recommendations.
• Community Engagement: Foster strong community engagement and leverage ecosystem partnerships for exponential growth.
• Relationship Building: Cultivate relationships throughout the ecosystem to align on key initiatives.
• Cross-functional Leadership: Lead cross-functional projects across domains and ensure stakeholder alignment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in strategy, venture investing, consulting, and/or product management roles
• Strong background in startup operations, resource allocation, and strategic analysis
• Proven track record of launching and scaling new initiatives 0-1 as a fire-and-forget leader
• Expertise around ecosystem growth programs and funding strategies (from prospective grants programs to retroactive funding/prizes)
• Experience in Web3, blockchain, or open-source ecosystems strongly preferred
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to break down complex problems
• Outstanding communication and leadership abilities
• Technical background (CS degree or SWE experience) is beneficial
