Why Join Us:
At BIT, we tackle complex problems as a team. We encourage openness and promote transparency, respect, and inclusivity. Every team member is valued and has a voice that can be heard. We are always in search of intellectually curious and entrepreneurial individuals who are keen on making an impact in the crypto ecosystem and in building a better product for the next one billion users.
About the Role:
BIT Group is seeking a dynamic, relentless Senior Public Relations Manager who operates at the convergence of Traditional Finance (TradFi) and Web3/Crypto.
This is not a slow-burn corporate communications role producing one standard press release a week. We operate in a high-velocity news cycle marked by a continuous bombardment of news, rapid product rollouts, partnership announcements, and market-moving commentary. The ideal candidate pairs an active rolodex of Tier-1 financial and crypto media contacts with the ability to build and execute high-tempo global communications strategies. You will drive substantial share of voice, secure earned (non-paid) media coverage, partner with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and orchestrate rapid-fire PR campaigns across global and regional markets
Job Responsibilities:
- Global & Regional PR Strategy: Formulate and execute integrated global PR and communications strategies to expand BIT Group’s market presence and share of voice across global and regional markets (covering Asia, Western, and emerging jurisdictions).
- High-Tempo Earned Media Engine: Drive proactive media outreach, rapid-response pitching, and interview placements across financial legacy media (Bloomberg, Reuters, FT, WSJ, CNBC) and Web3 native outlets (CoinDesk, Cointelegraph, The Block ) —focusing strictly on earned editorial coverage over paid wire distribution.
- Rapid Announcement & Content Machine: Lead major company announcements, drafting high-volume press releases, media briefing docs, FAQs, messaging matrixes, and ghostwritten thought leadership pieces under tight deadlines.
- Editorial Calendar & News Anticipation: Develop and steer a high-frequency editorial calendar, anticipating macroeconomic shifts, breaking crypto trends, and regulatory updates to position BIT Group ahead of the news cycle.
- Executive Profiling & Speaking Programs: Oversee global and regional executive speaking programs, secure high-impact keynote and panel opportunities, coordinate media inquiries, and pitch spokespeople for live broadcast and print commentary.
- KOL & Influencer Alignment: Build and maintain strategic relationships with top-tier crypto and financial Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and newsletter curators to amplify key company narratives and drive user traffic back to the platform.
- Cross-Functional & Integrated Campaigns: Work closely with Brand Marketing peers—including Regional Marketing, Community, Brand Partnerships (Events & Collaterals), Social Media, Content Hub, and Creative Hub—to build synchronized, multi-channel promotional narratives.
- Brand Partnership Support: Advise on corporate and ecosystem brand partnership activations, ensuring all external co-marketing and strategic alliances align strictly with BIT Group’s core communication goals and narrative standards.
- Active Monitoring & Crisis Communications: Lead proactive media listening, sentiment tracking, and agile crisis communications protocols to protect the brand’s institutional credibility and regulatory standing across jurisdictions.
Job Requirements:
- Total Experience: 8–10+ years of progressive PR and media relations experience, combining top-tier PR agency experience with high-velocity in-house fintech, crypto exchange, or brokerage environments.
- Dual TradFi & Web3 Background (Mandatory): Demonstrated track record managing communications spanning both traditional financial services (capital markets, banking, prime brokerage) and native Web3/crypto ecosystems (trading, DeFi, custody, infrastructure).
- Proven Rolodex & Media Relationships: Establish direct contacts with Tier-1 journalists, editors, columnists, and podcasters across global financial desks and crypto-native publications (verifiable portfolio of organic, non-paid placements required).
- High-Volume, Fast-Paced Execution: Proven resilience and output in rapid-fire news environments where managing multiple story pitches, breaking news reactions, and cross-channel campaigns weekly is standard operating procedure.
- KOL & Partnership Activation: Hands-on experience identifying, managing, and collaborating with financial and crypto KOLs to support brand campaigns and narrative adoption.
- Crisis & Regulatory Track Record: Extensive experience navigating real-time market volatility, regulatory scrutiny, technical incidents, and platform announcements.
Hard Skills:
- Rapid Drafting & Narrative Crafting: Exceptional ability to produce accurate, ready-to-pitch press releases, Q&As, executive talking points, and op-eds within rapid turnaround windows.
- Strategic Newsjacking & Media Pitching: Instinctive ability to hijack trending macro, market, and regulatory developments to pitch internal leadership as subject-matter authorities.
- Media Landscape Fluency: Deep, structural understanding of how tier-1 business, tech, and crypto newsrooms operate, who covers specific beats, and what angles editors prioritize.
- Financial & Web3 Mechanics: Strong literacy in brokerage mechanics, spot/derivatives trading, liquidity, asset management, blockchain infrastructure, and digital asset compliance frameworks.
- PR Measurement & Tooling: Working proficiency with media intelligence platforms
- (Meltwater, Cision, Brandwatch) to audit sentiment, reach, and share of voice.
Soft Skills:
- High Speed & Relentless Drive: Energized by an intense, newsroom-style environment; balances continuous deadlines with precision and enthusiasm.
- Persistence & Proactivity: Operates with a relentless "hunter" mentality in media outreach, pursuing creative story hooks and follow-ups to secure tier-1 placements.
- Poise & Calm Under Fire: Maintains composure, sound editorial judgment, and tactical diplomacy during crises, unexpected market events, and urgent communications drills.
- Influential Cross-Functional Communicator: Easily bridges gaps between technical product/trading teams, compliance leads, regional marketing pods, and external media stakeholders.
- Strong Newsworthiness Filter: Distinguishes genuine industry-relevant hooks from internal operational noise, protecting the brand's long-term reputation with top-tier journalists.
