ABOUT THE ROLE
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day IT desktop support to internal users, including laptops, operating systems, office software, and common peripherals.
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows and macOS devices.
- Support basic office IT infrastructure, including network connectivity, printers, and meeting room equipment.
- Assist with basic operation and maintenance of Linux systems, including routine tasks and access management.
- Support basic firewall configuration, maintenance, and daily checks under guidance.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining basic IT security measures, including account access control, endpoint security, and security best practices.
- Handle IT-related requests through the ticketing system and follow up until resolution.
- Support IT onboarding and offboarding processes, including device and account setup and recovery.
- Maintain basic IT asset records and assist with inventory management.
- Provide support for other IT and infrastructure-related tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of IT support / desktop support experience are welcome.
- Familiar with Windows and macOS operating systems and common troubleshooting scenarios.
- Basic knowledge of Linux systems and common commands.
- Basic understanding of firewalls and their general concepts; able to perform simple configuration or troubleshooting under guidance.
- Basic understanding of network security protocols and concepts, such as TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, and VPN.
- Good command of Mandarin for daily communication with internal stakeholders; Cantonese or English proficiency is a plus.
- Strong sense of responsibility, good service mindset, and willingness to learn.
