About the Role:
We are seeking a Business Development Manager to support the growth of BIT’s custody business across Southeast Asia. This is a mid-level, client-facing role for a commercially driven professional with an established regional network and hands-on experience in institutional sales.
The role covers the full business development cycle, including client acquisition, deal execution, onboarding, and ongoing relationship management.
Job Responsibilities:
- Drive business development and revenue growth for custody products across Southeast Asia
- Cultivate and manage relationships with institutional clients, including funds, family offices, crypto firms, Web3 companies, and other professional investors
- Own the end-to-end BD lifecycle: prospecting, pitching, deal negotiation, closing, onboarding, and post-onboarding relationship management
- Work closely with internal teams (Compliance, Operations, Product, Legal) to ensure smooth client onboarding and ongoing account support
- Provide market feedback from clients to support product positioning, feature enhancements, and go-to-market strategies
- Represent BIT at industry events, conferences, and networking sessions within the region
- Stay informed on regional regulatory developments, market trends, and competitive dynamics related to digital asset custody
Job Requirements:
- 5–6 years of experience in business development, sales, or client-facing roles within financial services, fintech, crypto, or digital assets
- Prior exposure to custody, digital assets, institutional crypto products, or capital markets is highly preferred
- Strong existing network in Southeast Asia, particularly among institutional investors, funds, family offices, or crypto-native firms
- Proven ability to close deals and manage long-term client relationships, not just lead generation
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, regulated environment with cross-functional teams
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Mandarin or another regional language is a strong advantage
Preferred:
- Experience working with or selling to institutional clients
- Understanding of custody, wallets, settlement, or digital asset infrastructure
- Prior experience in crypto exchanges, custodians, fintech platforms, or Web3 ecosystems
