About the role:
The Regulatory Compliance Manager will work closely with the Group Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) to support licensing, regulatory, and governance initiatives across the Matrixport Group. This role offers a rare opportunity for compliance professionals from banks or traditional financial institutions to apply their regulatory, governance, and risk management expertise in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space, while benefiting from strong compliance leadership and structured frameworks.

Job Responsibilities:
- Support the Group’s international licensing initiatives, working with internal stakeholders and external advisors to prepare regulatory submissions and respond to regulatory questions.
- Assist the Group CCO in strengthening the Group Compliance Governance Framework, including supporting Compliance Committees, tracking regulatory and compliance issues, and coordinating remediation efforts.
- Design and implement a Group-wide Compliance Monitoring Framework, performing periodic testing on key controls and processes, and supporting follow-up actions.
- Partner with Country Compliance Heads to monitor compliance with local regulatory requirements and ensure consistent application of Group standards.
- Provide practical, solutions-oriented compliance support to the business, balancing regulatory expectations with commercial realities in a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape.
- Contribute to ad-hoc regulatory, governance, and compliance projects as the Group expands into new markets and products.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Accountancy, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 5-10 years of compliance experience in a bank, financial institution, fintech, or crypto firm; candidates with strong banking or TradFi backgrounds and an interest in crypto are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Exposure to regulatory governance, licensing, or compliance monitoring within a regulated financial institution. Prior licensing work within Crypto / Payments would be preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret regulations and apply them pragmatically to new products and business models.
- Comfortable working in dynamic and ambiguous environments, with the flexibility to adapt regulatory frameworks as the business and regulatory landscape evolve.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with regulators, senior management, and cross-functional teams.
- Genuine interest in digital assets, blockchain technology, and the future of financial markets.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work under tight timelines.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
